"FORMULA ONE - Cleaner and De-greaser": Great stuff and easy to use. Spray onto desired area of rod, let it sit for 30 seconds, wipe away with a damp rag and rinse thoroughly in lukewarm(not hot) water. This is concentrated so rinsing is important. For cork, a second application and a toothbrush may be needed for nooks and crannies. Pat dry with a clean terry cloth and air dry in an open space.
"FORMULA TWO - Rod Polish and Ferrule Wax": We love this! As a ferrule wax, simply clean the male end (and female end if needed with a cotton swab) first with Formula One. Then, apply Formula Two to male end of rod section so the the entire surface has a thin coat. Insert with a quarter turn twist into the female end. This stops the rotation during the cast and prevents some of the wear in the future. As a rod polish, clean the rod first with Formula One. Make sure to thoroughly rinse and dry completely. Next, gently apply a thin layer over all the surfaces of the graphite (this works best with sanded blanks...) by rubbing the puck up and down while slowly rotating the rod. Finally, gently buff the wax out with a clean terry cloth or microfiber towel. This will take a few minutes of work, but once all wax is removed you will have a gorgeous, glassy surface that will produce a near-factory shine.
